Licensing and activation

How licensing works

NeuralDream goes online exactly twice: once to start the 14-day trial and once to activate a licence. After that it never needs a connection.

Activating

Open NeuralDream and choose I have a licence in the licence panel. Enter the email address you bought with and the licence key from your receipt, then press CONTINUE. One licence covers the instrument and the effect on up to three computers. Reinstalling on the same computer does not use up a slot.

Moving computers, lost keys, refunds

Email support@dreamdeepcr.com from the address you bought with. We can free an activation slot, resend a key or help with a refund within the terms on the licence page.

The free trial

The trial

Open NeuralDream in your DAW, choose Try it free for 14 days, type your email address and press CONTINUE. We email you a 6-digit code, which works for 15 minutes. Type it in and your trial starts. If the code does not arrive, check your junk folder or press Send a new code. A trial can be started once on each computer. When it ends the plugin loads but makes no sound until it is activated.

Downloads

Downloads and the manual

The installer holds both the instrument and the effect. The manual describes every engine and every control and it is free to read before you buy.

Please note that the Windows version of NeuralDream does not include the RAVE engine.

Questions and answers

Questions people ask

Is NeuralDream a subscription?

No. You pay once and the licence is yours to keep, with no subscription and no yearly fee. The launch price is £79 including VAT.

What does one licence cover?

One licence covers both the instrument and the effect on up to three of your computers. Reinstalling on a computer that is already activated does not use up another of the three.

What is in the free trial?

The trial is the complete plugin with both the instrument and the effect. It lasts 14 days and needs no payment card. A trial can be started once on each computer. When it ends, NeuralDream still loads but makes no sound until it is activated with a licence.

Does NeuralDream need the internet?

Only twice: once to start the trial and once to activate a licence. After that it never needs a connection so it works in a studio that is kept offline.

Which computers and DAWs does it work with?

On the Mac it needs an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac with macOS 11 or later and runs as AU and VST3. On Windows it needs 64-bit Windows 10 or later and runs as VST3. AAX is coming soon on both. It works in any DAW that supports AU or VST3, including Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig.

Can I use my own sounds?

Yes. You can drag your own audio onto the granular and partials oscillators and play it through the sample player, which has six playback modes and follows your DAW's tempo. You can also use your own impulse responses in the convolution engines.

Does it work with MPE controllers?

Yes. The synthesiser is fully MPE-aware so controllers such as the Expressive E Osmose, ROLI Seaboard and LinnStrument can bend, press and slide each note on its own.

Are the neural models included?

Neural FX needs no model at all. Neural Amp, RAVE and the neural mode of Tape Simulation use model files that are not included in the installer, because of their size and their third-party licences. Hundreds of free captures are available for Neural Amp and the manual explains where to download them.

Can I read the manual before I buy?

Yes. The manual is free to download and describes every engine and every control in full. Download the manual (PDF)

How do I move NeuralDream to a new computer?

Email support@dreamdeepcr.com from the address you bought with and we will free one of your three activations so you can activate the new computer.

What if it will not run on my computer?

If NeuralDream cannot be made to run on a supported system, email us within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full. The licence terms explain your other refund rights.
